who am i?
im a 23 year old labor organizer and artist. i organize labor unions in the food sector and service industries and enjoy engaging marxist-leninst theory. i got into labor organizing while i was doing voluenteer harm reduction work on kensington in philadelphia pa. many people i talked to ended up in their situation due to the loss of a job; or inability to find one due to various reasons like, disability, backround, sexual identity, gender identity, and socio-economic backround. i was already in school for international economics and finance; and had recently started reading das kapital by marx. all these factors led to me dropping out (as well as an, at the time, undiagnosed seizure disorder) where i threw myself into community organizing, where i found great love in labor sphere; as well as falling in love with my own union.
after an intense phase of burnout when i was 21 i had a mentor basically force me at gunpoint to take up hobbies other than organizing, which had become a full time job. i took up some new ones, like mixing and djing, a love i developed in the sewers of philadelphia's underground and queer club scene. as well as taking up some old ones, like learning the german language and reengaging with my art that i had too long ignored. but college had unexpectedly reignited a passion i had almost completely forgotten; writing. one muscle relaxer addiction later and a few manic episodes led to me filling up 3 notebooks full of thoughts ranging in sanity, and i started to rebuild my craft around it.
